It seems that there is still another Galaxy Quest TV show in the pipeline, but it’s not the first time we’ve heard about projects to bring the SCI-FI comedy movie to the small screen. Amazon revealed intentions to create a Galaxy Quest TV adaptation of several years, which fell flat, followed by an attempt to relive the project in 2017 with a new writer.
It’s hard to know if something will actually come from the Amazon Galaxy Quest project – I have had an update for a long time. However, it seems that we may not need the internet retailer to bring the show to the small screen, with Simon Pegg and Georgia Pritkett writing their own adaptation.
Galaxy Quest is a science fiction comedy movie that has been published in 1999 with large actors such as Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman. The television adaptation announced for the first time in 2015 did not work because of the unfortunate death of Star Alan Rickman in 2016.
In 2017, it was announced that Paul Scheer was exploited to rewrite the series, but we have not heard much since. The news of this new adaptation effort have been revealed by Pritchett during an interview with the British publication The Times [Paywall].
Spike Surprise of Galaxy Quest popularity, who suffered science fiction and star trek fans for the last 20 years, is highlighted by repeated efforts to bring the series to television. However, there were more than six years of teasing on this forehead, leaving the fans to wonder if any of these projects will finally follow.
