‘Seinfeld’ might not be available to broadcast for months

It’s pretty serious when a favorite TV show jumps to another service, but the fans of Seinfeld may have to give up the show entirely for a while. The sources of vultur claim the legendary show about nothing reaches Netflix before September “at the earliest”. Since the show leaves Hulu on June 23, you may have to go months without stories of parking garages and swollen shirts – at least not without buying episodes.

It is difficult to know why there would be a gap when shows like the office have made relatively transparent transitions. Netflix even extended access to friends to make sure there was not as much space when the series remained for HBO Max in 2020.

We asked Netflix to comment.

Vulture speculated that this could be a deliberate break to build a media hype for the return of Seversefeld or the launch alongside a special comedy company. However, this could also be a simple question of contractual. The Sony Pictures Television contract could prevent Netflix from spreading the show as soon as possible. It is an important show that could easily draw viewers without big fanfare, and it would be strange to sit on this revenue potential subscriber for three months or more.
