Last February, Google announced that he planned to take his Fi VPN service to iPhone devices at some point in spring. While the company has soon lost its original timeline, now it is beginning to implement the tool to Apple’s phones in its MVNO network, with widespread availability to continue at some time in the coming weeks.
As with other VPN services, Google Fi allows you to navigate the Internet and use transmission applications on a private and encrypted connection. By doing so, prevent websites from using your IP address to track your location. It is a good idea to use a VPN at any time that is connected to an unsecured public network. Once you upgrade to version 3.5 of the Fi Companion application (and Google deletes the function to your phone), you will find the option to activate the VPN in the Privacy and Safety menu.
