As of June 29, EA will host a music festival within the Sims 4 that will include the Star of Pop Bebe Rexha, a part of the Glass Animals of the Indie Band and the singer-composer Joy Oldokun. Sims Sessions will allow players Sims 4 explore a virtual festival ground, buy virtual goods and, of course, listen to some good melodies.
Virtual concerts in videogames are nothing new. We have seen epic games on shows with Travis Scott and Diplo in Fortnite. Lil Nas X has also been made inside ROBLOX. But what makes SIMS sessions different is that some of the interpreters will sing their songs in Simlish, SIMS Creatorless language will be invented in 1996.
Now, before making fun of the idea of listening to a song in Simlish, know that it is something that EA has been doing for a while. Since 2004, the company points out that it worked with almost 500 artists, including the tastes of Carly Rae Jepsen and the Japanese breakfast, to record their songs in the fictitious language. Simlish is so popular that they will be an accompanying Karaoke event in Tiktok, where fanatics can show their knowledge of the language. To participate in the festival, all you need is a copy of the Sims 4, and you will have until July 7 to take it and sing at SIMLISH.
