Gogoro is not shy to want to offer his scooter with a swappable battery outside the existing market like Taiwan, and it only crashed into an agreement to help make it happen. The mobility company has signed a memorandum of understanding with giant manufacturing Foxconn to “speed up” international expansion for SmartScooters. Both will work together on vehicle engineering, smart battery technology and production, giving more space to focus on design, technology development, and distribute their creations.
Both of them don’t say when they expect their team to produce results. There are also no mentioned e-bike gogoro.
Gogoro built his reputation in Taiwan, but gradually spread his reach to other countries. Recently launched an expansion plan for China and mainland China. Allure, as usual, is a battery exchange system that can eliminate the range of anxiety – you only need to visit the exchange station to get a new charged power package.
Foxconn is no stranger to helping EV makers grow. It collaborated with Fisker on the ‘breakthrough’ car which was due in 2023, and reportedly had a manufacturing agreement with the Geely Parent Volvo. The e-scooter alliance is relatively rare, and suggests Foxconn covers its basis. Many people in the transportation industry expect a declining car ownership, and the Gogoro Pact can help Foxconn develop even if commuter dispose of private cars that support moped and shared vehicles.
