Instagram tests put ‘suggested posts’ along your bait

More than five years after Instagram moved from strict chronological feed, the company may have more significant changes in the store for how you see content on the platform. Instagram told the threshold starting the test involving the “small amount” of people where they would see the “post suggested” platform interspersed throughout their feed. In some cases, it means that the suggested content Instagram putting in front of you will appear before the photos and videos are shared by your friends.

Instagram first introduced a post suggested last summer. This feature produces new content for you scroll after you see the latest photos and videos from the account you follow. In addition to placing suggested content in all feed, the company will test new controls that will allow people to form where the posts come from, and disable features for a limited time. This test includes new setting options that will allow you to add certain topics you want to see when the application results in suggested posts. You can continue the Instagram recommendation by providing feedback on a particular post, let the platform know if something shows you inappropriate or not suitable with your expressed interest. The same control also allows you to hide the recommended posts from your bait completely for 30 days.

A spokesman Instagram told Engadget it was conducting a test in response to positive feedback, the company collected about “recommended quality” suggested by the recommended post. It’s hard to tell how people feel about this latest change. Most Instagram users still lament the loss of chronological feed. It’s also one thing to put recommendations after you are all trapped and completely different things to do it throughout the experience.
